Sea Days

We are on the fourth day of six sea days. We have been to six lectures and two movies and a couple of afternoons sitting by the pool listening to the music. The seas have been a little rough and quite windy making it hard to walk on the Promenade Deck. I did get a 30 minute walk in this morning before I finally gave up the reeling from side to side. Talk about a drunken sailor!! :) The pool has been empty as they can’t keep any water in it. When there is water in it, it sloshes out everywhere.

Every year on the World Cruise they have the World Cruise Games or as we call it, the silly Olympic Games of Cruising. The sports include everything from paddle tennis, shuffleboard, basketball free throw, to solitaire, bridge, and knitting with a lot in between. We are not competing, but we did get the tee shirt. Jer says there should be a Galaxy Lounge napping category. It is really funny to watch folks nodding off during some of the lectures.

Today is St. Patrick’s Day so tonight there is a big production show called Lord of the Dance with lots of Irish music and dancing. The shows have been very good so I expect we will enjoy this one as well. There will be the traditional corned beef and cabbage in the dining room for dinner tonight.

This was the yummy corned beef we had for dinner.
We are off to the show now. I am sure it will be great. See you next time.
