Sea Days

We are at sea on our way to Albany, Australia. Yesterday we had to turn back toward Adelaide because we had a medical emergency on board. So last night during dinner a helicopter came and airlifted the patient back to Adelaide. I haven’t found out yet if we are going to be late getting into Albany.

The seas have been quite rough. We bounced around last night and that made it hard to sleep. The seas are still rough today so no walking on the Promenade Deck.

I have finally succumbed to the dreaded bronchitis that is going through the ship. I have been so diligent in washing my hands, but it got me anyway. Luckily we brought medications with us for some relief. Jer will probably be next :(.

We went to two lectures yesterday. One was with destination lecturer, Ken Rees, who talked about Albany, Fremantle, and Perth, our next stops. The other lecture was with Howard Fineman who talked about presidents that he has known up close and personal.

A couple of lectures again today and then will probably chill out the rest of the day. Tonight in the Galaxy Lounge the concert production, My Life: The Music of Billy Joel will be performed. I don’t know if we will go as we have seen it before.

We are now half way through our wonderful adventure. It certainly has been awesome. When we leave Perth we will start segment four of our World Cruise and another interesting part of the world.

See you in Albany tomorrow.
