Reunion, France

Hi All,

Just a short post about our day in Reunion, France.  Yes I said France, as Reunion is France’s province 947 (think Hawaii).  French is spoken on the island and the currency is the Euro.  We docked about 8am and took the ship shuttle into the small town of St Gillis.  Not sure why Crystal chose St Gillis as the town to go to, since there wasn’t much to see there.  Here is what it looked like on the bus ride to town.  The island is very green and quite beautiful.

When we got to St Gillis, we walked around the town a bit.  It was very HOT.  The beach was quite nice.

After walking around for a couple hours, we headed back to the ship.  If we had the day to do over again, we would take a tour around the island.  So we are now at sea heading for Madagascar.  We arrive there tomorrow morning and will be spending two days on the island.  We hope to get some pictures of Lemurs.  We probably won’t be posting again until we leave Madagascar.  So long until then.
