Pitcairn Island

One of the very interesting places on our itinerary is Pitcairn Island. The island was inhabited in 1790 by the HMS Bounty mutineers. Pitcairn measures only 2.2 miles wide and is today the home of less than 50 people making it the least populous national jurisdiction in the world.

Easter Island

Can't wait to get to Easter Island and see the famous Moai. These monolithic human figures were carved by the Rapa Nui people between the years 1250 and 1500.

Won't Be Long Now!

It won't be long until we are on board the Serenity and Helen will be sipping her first glass of bubbly!  Lunch on boarding day is a bit of tradition on Crystal.  Almost everyone has the Cobb Salad, we will too!

Sydney Is Going To Be Quite A Day

Bought tickets online today to see Madame Butterfly at the Sydney Opera House on March 3.  Should be quite a night!  Also booked a ticket to do the Sydney Bridge Climb, www.bridgeclimb.com.  Miss Helen won't be doing the bridge climb, she doesn't like heights.

Hello Family and Friends

We have created this blog so that we can stay in touch during our travels.  We intend to post regularly during our world cruise on the Crystal Serenity sailing Jan 15 from Miami.  The cruise is 108 days and arrives back in Miami on May 4.  This blog will not win any awards for creativity.  We will keep it simple.  Sometimes Jerry will post, and sometimes Helen will post.  We will try to post pictures from most of our ports of call, internet connection permitting.  So with that in mind, welcome!
